In case you’re not familiar with the term, a wet bar is a small bar with a sink and running water that allows you to mix and serve drinks to guests. It’s slightly different from the standard “dry” bar you’ve come to know that doesn’t have a sink. But with a sink in place, you can clean glassware right away and keep serving. Does someone want to switch from one kind of beer to another? From red wine to white wine? No problem! Clean the glass with your wet bar and keep serving. It’s a unique feature that you rarely expect to discover in a basement area.

Flooring in a basement can go a lot of different ways: Paint. Epoxy. Rubber. Vinyl. Wood. But if you really want to know what homeowners engaging us in basement projects are asking us for, it’s clear the trend is toward luxury vinyl tile. Think of it as another type of laminate floor but one that is comfortable to walk on and has a gorgeous look with many different colors and styles. In this particular flooring option alone, anyone can find something to like.
Now, with flooring that looks this high-end, you might wonder if it’s protective against a great deal of wear and tear. In a word: Yes.
Looks can be deceiving here because although its luxury vinyl tile, it’s scratch-resistant and water-resistant. So go ahead. Move that furniture around. Have some people over for entertaining. If somebody spills something or forgets to take off their high heels at the front door, don’t worry. Whereas other floors may not be able to stand up to it and show imperfections over time, this is one floor that’s resistant to all of that – and looks beautiful year after year.
